Brushing is important for more than just fresh breath because bad breath can cause a slew of problems in your day-to-day life and harm your image. Brushing infrequently can also promote the growth of bacterial buildups such as plaque, cavities, and gum disease . Perhaps people are unaware that the American Dental Association recommends brushing your sparkling white teeth at least twice a day. People may be surprised, but going to bed without brushing your teeth is equivalent to going to bed with dung/poops in your mouth. When you eat a meal, the bacteria in your mouth feast on the food you eat. After a meal, these bacteria, like all living organisms, produce waste. This waste can be very acidic, causing cavities and root decay in your teeth.
